GTCS.com and Affiliated Site UBE/UCE Policy
In short: NOT WELCOME
We consider Unsolicited Bulk E-Mail (UBE), regardless of content,
to be a denial of service attack upon our or others facilities.
We have a zero-tolerance policy for such postings, both from these facilities
and directed toward them. Normally, we have a pre-warned, first-strike and
you're out policy, which we might relent upon, with a written admission
of ignorant violation of these terms-of-service, with payment of a security
deposit against repetitions, plus a proportional fine - ONCE. There are NO
refunds for cancellation of service due to violation of this zero-tolerance
policy.
We do permit our users to subscribe to list-mail. If actually subscribed
to list mail is blocked by our spam-blocking provisions, we apologize,
and will work with you to see that that problem does not continue. Some
of our parsing rules are rather fanatical, but we find them to be necessary.
If you are seeing this page because of a bounced E-Mail, which also specifies
a Black hole list or Blacklist, please see that other URL
for details about the black list. We also block by local rules,
where we have encountered problems in the past. If your mail service
is working properly, you received a detailed explanation of exactly why
the message was bounced.
If you believe you have received a UBE or UCE in error either from, or
relayed through any of these domains, please notify abuse@gtcs.com immediately. Steps will
be taken immediately to have it stopped... Do NOT respond to any listed
"unsubscribe@ ... " address within the message. We do NOT
maintain any unsubscribe@ mailing addresses whatsoever. The few
multi-addressee mailings that leave domains hosted here are manually
maintained. Because of spammer fraud, we never will be able to fully
automate that function, under current or projected facilities.
We are agressive enough in reporting abusive E-Mail by other domains, that
it is possible that a message would be forged, to appear as if it came
from here. This type of "Joe Job" has happened once, during 2001, and
seems to be rampant (embedded in a worm) in 2003-4. As with any fraud, we
have been the victims.
Sending unsolicited solicitations to users at domains we administer may bring
civil liabilities or criminal charges under the Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code Section
17538.45 or other national, state, or local laws. You have been warned.
We reject mail from a few domains, including anything under the .ws domain
because of ongoing spam problems at the top of the domain which started as
the first registrar was about ready to accept registrations. If you have a
VALID reason to send mail here from a domain in Western Samoa, using a .ws
address, please contact the postmaster here. If you have registered a .ws
domain that has nothing to do with Western Samoa, you got snookered.
